For the studio cast recording of Little Women - The Musical, Lionel Segal and Peter Layton assembled an outstanding cast, including Dave Willetts, Celia Graham, Dillie Keane, Lisa Hull, Collette Fraser, Michael Xavier and Sara Gleeson.
 

Produced by Craig Leon, with orchestrations by Steven Edis, and conducted by Eddie Koopman, the songs were recorded at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands and at Sanctuary Studios, London in February 2004.

The artwork for Little Women - The Musical is by the celebrated Helen Oxenbury, who was awarded the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1979. Her work as an illustrator has been highly commended several times since, as well as winning the Smarties Book Prize three times - for 'Farmer Duck', 'We're Going On a Bear Hunt' and 'So Much'.
